The management and Engineers at Cablescan have a significant level of experience in the manufacture, project management and quality requirements associated with Military aircraft harnesses.
Our AS9100 certification, SC21 accreditation, investment in tooling and personnel training has enabled Cablescan to be awarded a number of fixed wing and Helicopter contracts.
In 2011 Cablescan acquired the company Phoenix Power Systems, this company was established in 1992 as specialists in the manufacture of bespoke avionics test benches, wiring harnesses; systems control panels and instrumentation for the aerospace, military and related industries.
Since this time we have carefully carried out a process to transfer the personnel, product, process and customer knowledge into Cablescan, this process has now been completed.
We have been involved in many projects over the years including Hawk Nimrod, Typhoon, Falcon 7X and JSF. PPS / Cablescan have provided an on time first class service to our end users based throughout the world.
We are specialists in the manufacture of bespoke avionics test benches, wiring harnesses, systems control panels and instrumentation for the aerospace, military and related industries. Our success lies in reliability and adapting to our customer requirements, always delivering quality products on time and on budget. We have a dedicated Support and Production Cell well versed in complex electrical harness and test rig assembly along with all the necessary detailed quality procedures which that entails.
Our products have ranged in complexity from a small single unit test bench to some with up to 500 individual cores to carry out complete aircraft system tests. These included simulated cockpit assemblies with avionic systems and sub-system units in/on up to 11 other benches ranging in size from two to five “Bays”, each with many thousands of cores, including 1553 type Data-bus systems and Aircraft power supplies.
We have formed alliances with MILSPEC fabrication companies and offer bespoke racks, cabinets, boxes, project management. A completesupply solution.
Our product range includes equipment for use “in the field” to support various tasks. This can vary from “Air transportable” to “Ruggedised” waterproof specialist cases.
Cablescan has considerable experience in the manufacture of DIT-MCO and Automeg automatic testing harnesses used in many areas of industry.
Cablescan have supplied the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) both at Engine, Aircraft and control centre levels since 2009, our expertise gained in the Aerospace sector enables us to offer optimum components and build techniques. Please refer to our Military aerospace section for more detail.
Cablescan supply wiring harnesses, control panels, junction boxes and bespoke test equipment to the following sectors:
Cablescan will either build to customer’s drawing/specification or work with project managers / Engineers to ensure the delivered product meets the necessary customer and legislative requirements. Our Engineers have extensive product knowledge and regular updates from our supply chain ensuring the optimum material solution is offered in terms of cost and functionality.
Cablescan has gained significant experience working with defence prime contractors and the MoD in the UK and across Europe. Our sealed rugged cables are extensively used in the following areas
